My daughter and I were passing through Estes Park on a road trip and after seeing the vacancy sign we decided to pull into Castle Mountain Lodge just as dark was setting in. We first encountered LuJean at the registration desk and she couldn’t have been any more welcoming. She gave us a key to check out the castle view cabin and advised us of the roaming bear in the area and she showed us a picture of it. We checked out the room and gladly agreed to stay. She was so patient with us and helpful as we looked through the sweatshirts and decided on just the right one as we were ill prepared for the cold. LuJean’s genuine kindness and sweet demeanor really made that stop memorable. Our sincere condolences to her friends and family.
